- Imam Safi Khan begins Islamic work in the Maryland area, emphasizing the need to build an Islamic community based on the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah
1990-1995
- Imam Safi Khan and area youth establish several education programs around the region, including an evening Qur’an School in Maryland
1995-1996
- Al-Huda School starts with 26 students in grades K-2
1996-1997
- Al-Huda School grows to 74 students, adds grades 3-4
1997-1998
- Al-Huda School moves into current location in College Park, MD
- Funding Development Office established
- Dar-us-Salaam raises $3 million in interest free loans to purchase building
- Al-Huda School grows to 118 students, 5th grade added
1998-1999
- Al-Huda School grows to 218 students in KG-6th grade
- Al-Huda Pre-School opens with 40 students
- Al-Huda girls publish first edition of the Muslim Link newspaper with cover headline “Calling for the Unity of the Community”

- Al-Huda School grows to 300 students in KG-7th grade
- Sooq Al-Huda Books & Gifts opens in College Park

- Information Center, Arabic and Qur’an Institutes established

- Aqabah Karate opens classes for 7-12 year olds
- Al-Huda School adds 8th grade

- Sooq Al-Huda opens grocery and catering section
2002-2003
- Dar-us-Salaam assumes ownership of building after raising over $1 million to pay off loans
- Full-time Hifzh School established with 10 students

- Dar-us-Salaam wins first Muslim Interscholastic Tournament (MIST) trophy
2005-2006
- Dar-us-Salaam Family Medical Practice opens in Greenbelt, Maryland
- Dar-us-Salaam wins second MIST title
2006-2007
- Al-Huda School Elementary and Middle Schools accredited by Middle States Association
- Social Services Department established
- Dar-us-Salaam wins third regional and first national MIST trophy
- Aqabah Karate opens classes for girls
2007-2008
- Al-Huda School opens 9th grade, expanding into high school
- Al-Huda Pre-School grows to 72 students
2008-2009
- Dar-us-Salaam wins 5th MIST trophy
- Aqabah Karate competes in first national tournament and brings home 62 medals
- Qur’an Institute opens 3 branches around the DC region serving over 150 students
- First annual Muslim Funfest carnival held with over 2,000 attendees
- Dar-us-Salaam outgrows building, moving all auxiliary offices to an off-site rental
2009-2010
- Full-time Hifz School graduates 35th hafiz
- Dar-us-Salaam opens first summer camp in Germantown, MD
- Al-Huda Elementary School opens branch in Pennsylvania
2010-2011
- Al-Huda School completes high school with addition of 12th grade
- Al-Huda High School accredited by Middle States Association
- First ever high school graduation held for 14 seniors
- 4th Annual Muslim Funfest Carnival held with over 10,000 attendees
- Aqabah Karate graduates first three black belts
